Carrot Cutlery

Carrot Cutlery@The Seven Year Cottage

With a few simple folds and a little imagination, these “carrot” cutlery packets will add a whimsical touch to any Spring tablescape!

You’ll need to purchase the following items:

  • 1 package orange beverage napkins
  • 1 package green beverage napkins
  • 1 package green plastic cutlery to match
  • 1 package brown Kraft ribbon
  • Scotch tape

Everything shown was found in Target’s “party supply/gift wrap” section, and solid colors can certainly be substituted for a more muted look.

Carrot Cutlery@The Seven Year Cottage

Fold one corner of green napkin toward center, then fold the opposite corner toward center until slightly overlapping.  Secure with a small piece of clear tape.

Carrot Cutlery@The Seven Year Cottage

Fold corner of orange napkin down approximately 1 1/2″ from crease to tip. Place over green napkin leaving top exposed to mimic carrot foliage.

Carrot Cutlery@The Seven Year Cottage

Wrap sides of orange napkin around to the back, using tape to hold in place.

Carrot Cutlery@The Seven Year Cottage

Slide plastic cutlery between the two layers and loosely tie with brown Kraft ribbon.

Carrot Cutlery@The Seven Year Cottage

Arrange in your favorite basket for a buffet table, or atop plates for smaller gatherings!
