For a sweet treat with festive flair…
Top humdrum cupcakes with holly made easily from supermarket check-out finds!
Holly Jolly Cupcakes
- Miniature cupcakes (undecorated)
- Chocolate frosting
- Spearmint chewing gum sticks
- Small red bubble gumballs
To create holly leaves, cut sticks of green gum in half with a clean pair of kitchen shears. Shape one end of each half into a point using your shears. Gently pinch the opposite end together to taper and set aside.
Pipe chocolate frosting onto cupcakes using a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. If you don’t have these items, don’t panic. Simply transfer frosting to a gallon-size resealable bag, snip one corner, and pipe.
Insert three chewing gum holly leaves into wet frosting, followed by a red gumball for the berry.
Serve to Christmas company and enjoy!

These are so pretty! My daughter would love that it’s gum.
