How fun are these little sliders?
They’re Oreo Cakesters disguised as bite-sized burgers.
So not only are they ever so sassy…
They are surprisingly sweet, and simple to assemble!
You’ll need the following items:
- 1 box Oreo Cakesters
- 1 box Golden Oreo Cakesters
- 1 16oz. can vanilla frosting
- 1 c. shredded coconut
- Green & yellow food coloring
- Red gel food coloring (craft store)
- 1 sandwich-sized zipper bag
- 2 quart-sized zipper bags
- Wax paper
- Sesame seeds
With a butter knife, carefully separate cakester layers and remove vanilla creme. If you’re unable to scrape it all off, don’t worry, just pretend it’s mayonnaise and move on to the next step!
Place individual cakesters on a baking sheet lined with wax paper and move them to the freezer for 15-20 minutes.
To make ketchup and mustard, divide vanilla frosting among two small mixing bowls. Stir yellow food coloring into one and red gel coloring into the other.
Transfer colored icing to separate quart-sized zipper bags, seal, and snip one corner with kitchen shears.
For shredded lettuce, place coconut and a few drops of green food coloring into a sandwich-sized zipper bag. Seal tightly and shake until evenly coated.
Remove cakesters from the freezer just before assembling.
Start with a single golden cakester, wrong side up, followed by a chocolate cakester, right side up.
Pipe three dime-sized dabs of red icing close to the edge of each hamburger patty. Then, pipe yellow icing in between the red.
Green coconut goes on next.
Top with one last golden cakester, right side up, and sprinkle with sesame seeds for the perfect burger bun!

OK those are the cutest things EVER!
I need to come up with an excuse to make them…..I don’t have kids, The Boyfriend is on a stinkin diet and the 4th party isn’t at my house……..must think if something!!!

I’ve always made these with brownies for the burger, but sheesh….that takes a lot of extra time. Your idea for the Cakesters is brilliant! I’ll be using them next time I whip up a batch of mini-burger cakes for my girls’ school!
Hollie, thank you so much for always having something so creative and whimsical to share on “A Little Birdie Told Me…” Tuesday!

This is sooo much easier than what I did. I made “Krabby Patties” for my daughters birthday party using a whoopie pie pan and choc. cake mix. These would have cut my time wayyyy down and are adorable!!! Thank you!
